Some guys have all the luck. Take the man who stopped at a Los Angeles garage sale. He liked the look of a painting he found wrapped in a blanket and bought it for £5. Maybe he thought it would look good over his couch. Maybe he just liked pictures of fruit. But there was no way he could know that the National Gallery would pay him £1 million for it.

Like I said, some guys have all the luck. You could spend the rest of your life digging through yard sales and never find that kind of buried treasure. Those kind of opportunities just don't show up every day. Or do they? Today Stauer saves you a trip to the garage with an unbelievable offer on the world's most luxurious timepiece movement. The crowning achievement for any luxury watch company is the tourbillon—French for "whirlwind." Only a handful of the world's finest watchmakers can make a tourbillon—most don’t even try. The movement was invented in 1795 to prevent gravity from affecting the accuracy of early pocket watches. In the process of solving a problem, legendary watchmaker Abraham-Louis created a masterpiece that remains one of the rarest and most sought after watch complications of all time.

Our Stauer Bravura 17-Jewel Tourbillon features an exquisite antique ivory face with bold blue Roman numerals and a 24-hour complication at the 9 o'clock position. The balance wheel and the escapement are encased in a rotating cage, visible through a showcase window at 6 o'clock. The transparent case back is protected by an exhibition crystal and offers a remarkable view into the 250-part, 17-jewel movement. The rare luxury movement and vintage-inspired face are both protected by a gold-toned, coin-edged stainless steel case. A sapphire cabochon atop the crown adds a final touch of elegance. The Stauer Bravura 17-Jewel Tourbillon secures with a genuine black crocodile band, secures with a deployant clasp and is water resistant to 3 ATM.
