Effortless elegance of the 1950s with a price you can be comfortable with
During the 1950s people had an appetite for luxurious brands, but they also wanted comfort and simplicity. Having shook off the ravages of World War II, people had more resources available and the fashion designers of the time were busy keeping up with demand. Leading the charge, was a certain French jewelry and watch maker. Little did he know (or maybe he did) his creations of comfortable luxury would become timeless.
We took a few cues from the Frenchman’s historical timepieces and created Brigitte. Like the siren who inspired the name, Brigitte is the epitome of effortless elegance. From the elongated oval face with mother-of-pearl dial to the sparkling lab-created DiamondAura® stones set into the bezel, we haven’t missed a single detail.
Brigitte is built with precision movement, so those fashionably late appearances can be timed within 2 seconds of accuracy. Water resistant to 30 meters, stainless steel construction and a genuine leather band makes Brigitte as strong as she is beautiful.
Should you find one of the famous French designers vintage creations today, it would set you back about $15,000. Even if you ventured into his 5th Avenue shop and purchased one brand new, you’re still in $10,000. And, while we think highly of the French watchmaker, unless a trip to Paris is included in the price of his watch, we think 10 grand is a bit over the top. Brigitte embodies the effortless elegance of the 1950s with a price you can be comfortable with.
